Day 1. Airport  / Colombo

Arrival, welcome with Orchid Garlands by a representative of Kango Tours and transfer to Colombo.

Afternoon, undertake a city tour of Colombo including the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple, some other
Buddhist Temples, an Hindu Temple , Town Hall, BMICH ,
etc

 

Overnight at Galle Face Regency Hotel ( Supp room ) – Colombo or similar 

 

 

Day 2. Colombo

After early breakfast, spend whole day at Colombo Royal Golf Club.

Day 3. Colombo – Pinnawala – Kandy  

After early breakfast leave for Kandy. En route visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela, home to a large herd of elephants and view orphaned baby elephants found displaced in the jungles, being bottle fed their milk.

           

Pinnawela... the Elephant Orphanage located on the banks of the Maha Oya, established to give shelter to elephants who are displaced from their natural habitats due to various reasons. Such as, environmental changes due to development projects, being abandoned by their parents when they fall into pits and ravines, etc. It is most interesting to visit Pinnawela at feeding time when the baby elephants are bottle fed their milk, or at bath time when the whole herd walks down to the river for their baths.

Proceed to Kandy.

Kandy ... The last capital of the Sri Lankan kings which is a world heritage site. The name Kandy conjures vision of splendour of magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1806; visit the Kandy town bazaar, the arts and the crafts centre and a gem museum and lapidary.

 

In the evening visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a traditional cultural dance show.

 

Overnight at Mahaweli Reach Hotel  – kandy or similar.

 


Day 4.  Kandy

            After breakfast spend the day at Victoria Golf Club

Day 5. Kandy – Peradeniya – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast leave for the Royal Botanical Gardens consisting of 147 acres of landscaped gardens surrounded by the Mahaweli River. The Botanical Gardens have more than 5000 species of plants including rare collections of orchids, spices and medicinal herbs.

Thereafter continuation toward Nuwara Eliya visit  "Little England" through the Ramboda Pass surrounded by "Green Carpets"- hills covered with Tea and cascading Water Falls amidst breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.

 En route visit a Tea Factory and a Plantation to witness the manufacturing process of world famous "Ceylon Tea" and to taste a pure unblended cup of factory fresh tea before being sent to the Tea Auctions in Colombo leading to Export.

 

Evening is free for walks /tour around the city - the important places being the Victoria Park, Gregory Lake, Golf Course, and Market etc.

 

Overnight at St Andrews Hotel – Nuwara Eliya or similar .

 

 

Day 6. Nuwara Eliya

After the breakfast, play golf at Nuwara Eliya Golf Club

  

Overnight at St Andrews Hotel – Nuwara Eliya or similar.

 

 

Day 7. Nuwara Eliya – Kitulgala - Colombo

After breakfast leave for Kitulgala. En route visit places of interests including waterfalls

Kitulgala is located southwest of enchanting Kandy & north of famous mountain "Adam's Peak". The location of David Lean's classic in 1957, Oscar-winning film 'The Bridge on the River Kwai', Kitulgala is the Sri Lanka's favourite village for White water rafting. To make it easier for you, there is a paved pathway to the exact main location of the film. For the birders, Kitulgala is irresistible too: 38 species of birds are found here. For the shutterbugs the limitless green & green rainforest serves endless landscapes.

Day 8. Colombo - Airport

Transfer to the airport for Departure.
